All the teachers I have had in the past had trust in my writing. They knew I was a good student and that writing was one of my weaker points. They always had faith in my writing and helped me to become a better writer. And what they told me helped, but I still slack when it comes to writing. Writing does not come as easy to me as math does.
I do not really think English classes are a waste of time, I just think they are boring. Especially when it comes to reading assignments, it's hard for me to get into the story of poem that is supposed to be read because I get distracted by other things and feel like reading is a waste of time. I also think that after having to take 12 years of English, it becomes a drag for those who don't like to read or write.
I do not write on my own much; only when I have to. I do write on Facebook, but that is just informal writing and you are not being graded on your grammar. Writing papers is more formal, and there are times when I do not know the right words to use. What I hope to get out of this class is a good grade and to become a better writer. I know a lot of classes involves writing, so I would like to writing to get easier for me and be able to write and "above average" paper.
